According to the history from ancient times, salt in Iran has been traditionally extracted from mines or Lakes and turned into salt grains using semi-industrial methods like Threshing and has been distributed among consumers after being packed. This product with all its useful and non-useful materials and minerals has been consumed by consumers. In the 80’s the relevant organizations have decided to encourage adding potassium iodine to salt in order to improve the situation in terms of public health and to control the outburst of goiter which was caused by a lack of iodine in a person’s diet and subsequently in the 90's the production of salt has undergone a little improvement by means of refinement to produce a more purified and less harmful salt and as such was supplied to the market and the end consumers with a better situation than before. The salt production has been greatly improved in the new millennium after the development of the industry and the advance in the technology in the field of the production of edible salt in order to remove all impurities and harmful minerals when a new refinement method called recrystallization was introduced to the industry.
Edible salt was refined using a fully scientific method to achieve a purity of %99.2 and supplied to the markets, and in accordance with the per capita consumption requirements, it was necessary that traditional manufacturing was quickly replaced by more advanced industrial technologies in accordance with the highest international standards and the ones required by the Iranian food and drug administration, produced and supplied to the markets. Hence all the outdated obsolete methods of salt production was abolished, so the traditional production of salt was eventually replaced by production of refined edible salt by means of recrystallization method
in which all the salts impurities such as mud, calcium, magnesium, sulfate and other heavy metals are isolated from raw materials and after the addition of the required amount of iodine the produced product samples are thoroughly tested and quality controlled before being stored in hygienic storage silos at which point the product will be repacked in different packaging sizes and forms in accordance with our customer needs and requirements using our fully automated packaging machines. Lastly we would like to ask all consumers to pay extra attention to the printed label on the package when buying edible salt to ensure buying refined salt by means of recrystallization method in order to maintain optimal health and wellbeing, and as such purchase a well known and established product such as DELCHASB salt.
